Refund policy

RETURN, REFUND AND CANCELLATION POLICY

Fresh and perishable products

Because our meat, poultry and seafood products are fresh and perishable, we cannot accept returns or provide refunds simply because you have changed your mind, ordered the wrong item or no longer require the product.

Faulty, damaged or incorrect products

If your order is faulty, unsafe, damaged, incorrectly supplied or does not match its description, please contact Saffron Meats as soon as possible. For fresh products, we recommend contacting us within 24 hours of pickup or delivery so we can investigate promptly.

Please provide your order number, a description of the issue and, where possible, clear photographs of the product and packaging. Keep the product refrigerated and retain the packaging until we advise whether it needs to be returned or inspected.

After assessing the issue, we will provide an appropriate remedy, which may include a replacement, refund or another remedy required under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.

Change-of-mind returns

We do not offer returns, exchanges or refunds for change of mind on fresh, chilled, frozen, custom-cut or specially prepared products.

Order cancellations

Please contact us immediately if you need to cancel or change an order. We will try to accommodate your request, but cancellation may not be possible once cutting, preparation or packing has begun.

If we approve a cancellation before preparation begins, the refund will be returned to the original payment method. Payment-processing fees may not be recoverable where permitted by law.

Pickup orders

Customers should inspect their order promptly after collection and refrigerate or freeze products without delay. We are not responsible for deterioration caused by products being left unrefrigerated or stored incorrectly after pickup.

Delivery orders

Please ensure someone is available to receive fresh chilled products. If there is a delivery problem, a missing item or visible damage, contact us as soon as possible.

Your legal rights

Nothing in this policy limits or excludes any rights or remedies available under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, the Fair Trading Act 1986 or any other applicable New Zealand law.
